Today I have a wedding from Jonathan Ivy Photography featuring a lovely Texas couple. I love the combo of Gray and Pink, and I love fun photos of the bridal party. I even love how the groom's cake is of the Miami Dolphins which is so appropriate for me now that I will be a Florida resident. I like the Dolphins and the Buccaneers though. :-) Oh, and the ring shots! (I love ring shots!) Well, enough said, now look at the goodness!
Thomas and I met in junior high school and became good friends. Our friendship continued to grow until our Junior year of High School when we decided to date. Dating one of my best friends was so easy because we already new a lot about each other and enjoyed being around each other. We both moved to College Station after graduation and our relationship continued to grow.
It was my last semester of college when Thomas proposed, he was already working. One weekend he told me that we had to go to Dallas to have dinner with some of his collegues. The whole ride there he was super nervous about the dinner, which I couldn't understand why. We went to the fountain place downtown where he got down on one knee and fumbled out the words "Will you marry me" and I answered yes through the tears.
He had informed our family of his plan and invited them down to celebrate with us. I started planning right away. I had already beed addicted to looking at wedding blogs and had somewhat of an idea of what I wanted. Planning a wedding can get really stressful but I knew it would all be worth it in the end.
If I could say one thing about planning it would be to pick a good photographer, i.e. Jonathan Ivy Photography. Flowers die, your dress gets boxed up, all the food is eaten but you will always have your pictures to look back on.
Here are my tips to a bride & groom about their photographer:
The Knot & many other sites like them provide you with plenty of tips & tricks on what to ask your photographer. My #1 point would be to make sure you LOVE your photographers! You are going to be spending alot of time with them on your engagements, bridals, wedding, any post wedding photo shoots & then the time to design your album. If you're going to have someone in your lives for an event as important as this one, you have to make sure it is someone you not only get along with, but have fun with. If you know that every time you are with your photographers your going to be having fun, you honestly will have some of the greatest photos!

Loving this wedding! That cake topper is gorgeous!
What a beautiful wedding - and I love these colors together. There's just something about pink and grey that is so striking together {you'll also see why on my blog starting today thru Friday}.
