From the photographer:
Kate and Drew are both school teachers at a local Milwaukee area high school of the arts. Kate has a wonderful son named Liam, and Drew smartly appealed to Kate by offering to give Liam some of his old Star Wars toys when he asked her out. Kate appreciated his crafty ways when he told her "Don't be responsible for your son's intergalactic unhappiness by not going out with me". Both are fun loving and hysterical to be around and Drew's love for Kate and her son won me over in an instant. Their wedding was vintage inspired by their mutual love of real vinyl records, books, board games and family centered christian values with an emphasis on a high mass followed by ridiculous amounts of fun. All the DIY touches from their day were provided by their students who tirelessly made all of the elements of the day including collecting old volumes of books, inspirational quotes by favorite authors, art pieces they created from quotes they gleaned from their teachers about what they liked about each other. The students also provided the music at the mass, afterwards and on into the reception.
Congrats to Kate and Drew! May your years ahead be joyful and filled with the love of God!
